Overview
The Solution Consultant (SE) supports the sales process with in-depth, pre-sale functional and technical assistance,
product presentations, demonstrations, and education to ensure winning client solutions.
The SE owns the technical relationship with the prospect and is responsible for seeing that Defran wins
the technical and functional evaluation. The Sales Engineer will provide deep product knowledge and expertise
to configure and demo solutions that meet prospects needs and help achieve their goals.

- Provides technical information/support to the Sales Executive in the achievement of revenue goals.
- In-depth analysis of customer needs and business requirements, practices, operations, process.
- Determine how product features can be used to address
customer requirements. - Create and perform online and/or in person product demonstrations tailored to prospects requirements.
- Demonstrate applicability of product feature to specific business needs
of customer. - Articulate features and benefits, product direction and method of implementation thru presentations, demonstration and supporting product information.
- Answer technical questions regarding functionality, configuration
and customization. - Maintain a single sales production system adding and documenting new scenarios to highlight new and existing product features.
- Review each upgrade version release notes and incorporate new features into Sales process.
- Maintain demo script's and sales system - keep current with upgrades.
- Develop list of prospects needs for customization/enhancement and provide to development / client services.
Requirements for consideration:
- BA in business, sales, marketing or equivalent combination education and experience.
- 3 years product demo experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of successful pre-sales consulting experience with complex ERP solutions, preferably in the behavioral healthcare industry.
- Experience with light database management, data analysis (i.e. Crystal Reports) and other development tools highly desired. SQL/Access experience in lieu of Crystal experience.
- Required travel: 30-50%
