Position Overview:
The Training Specialist is responsible for using available resources to deliver End User trainings of Defran System's suite of software applications to external clients. The training specialist reports to the VP of Client Services and will work closely with a team of trainers, Instructional Designer, implementation consultants and project managers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Instruct new and existing power users on our clinical enterprise software program in a classroom environment.
- Conduct training and new feature webinars.
- Work closely with Project Managers to coordinate training scheduling
and delivery. - Identify customer immediate training needs.
- Develop educational "quick guides", "how to" manuals and cheat sheets.
- Identify new product needs through trainings and
make recommendations. - Develop materials for trainings, group discussions, demonstrations, and workshops based on the needs of the department and /or clients using the most effective approaches, techniques and methods.
- Use active training techniques to engage attendees and maximize knowledge and skill retention.
- Provide second tier customer support as needed.
- Assist with documentation/curriculum updates as needed.
- Assist with software release and version testing.
Technical knowledge, skills and education:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with software training for external clients.
- Previous experience with EHR and finance systems.
- SQL knowledge a plus.
- Experience with SCORM compliant presentation tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, RoboHelp.
- Experience with Clinical Software and or Insurance/Medicaid/Medicare billing a plus.
- Travel: This position requires up to 35-50% travel.
