Regional Sales Executive - human services software sales

To be successful in this role, you would:

Achieve and exceed quarterly targets to generate annual revenues of greater than 1.5 - 2 million for assigned territory. The main focus of this position is bringing in new business through prospecting and developing new customer relations, selling both complex enterprise software solutions and SAAS to the behavioral healthcare / human services market.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create territory plans including analysis, planning and pipeline development for potential prospects.
  • Use functional knowledge of all relevant existing/pending legislation and requirements to identify opportunities.
  • Evaluate leads and build pipeline of qualified opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Provide a consultative and value-added approach to developing client relationships.
  • Through discovery process, assess and understand clients business needs and create sales strategy.
  • Understand and communicate customer operations, requirements, standards of practice, and State-specific requirements to internal team.
  • Coordinate and lead planning meeting, resources, presentation and demos.
  • Negotiate and execute all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Retain all existing accounts through regular contact with all current customers including reference and referral management.
  • Work closely with Solution Consultant on demonstrations/proof steps

Requirements for consideration:

  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts clearly to external and internal customers.
  • Professional and engaging formal presentation skills.
  • Experience and ability to conduct high level product demos if necessary
  • Highly effective negotiation skills with emphasis on uncovering objections and closing sales
  • Demonstrated project/resource management skills for large, complex solutions
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience selling complex software solutions to the healthcare industry, preferably in the behavioral health services industry.
  • Prior experience selling to state and local government agencies or non-profits a plus
  • Start - finish experience in complex proposal content for software projects in excess of $250k.
  • Previous work within both the software/tech industry and healthcare is required.
  • Required travel: 30-50%
