Overview:

Consult with a variety of Defran and client resources to identify solutions for each implementation. Gather client business requirements, analyze and design a solution that meets the needs of the client and falls within the boundaries of core Defran Systems functionality. Responsible for the configuration of a customer’s specific environment, as well as all client functional knowledge transfer. Reports to Manager, Client Services.

To be successful in this role, you would:

  • Gather information from customers, evaluate their needs and create and configure an implementation solution working together with Defran Technical resources.
  • Gather functional and business requirements from client and translate into a functional solution design according to client needs and scope of Defran’s products/services.
  • Provide business acumen, and specifically financial/accounting acumen to understand and define client’s business problems in order to best configure the system to solve those issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager on scheduling, milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure completion of deliverables, managing schedules, meeting milestones, delivering within budget, and ensuring creative solutions and technical success.
  • Manage the transition of customers from implementation to Production Support.
  • Conduct client webcasts (solution demo) and functional knowledge transfer sessions according to methodology standards.
  • Liaison with client team members and Defran internal resources to ensure understanding, clear communications and client satisfaction.
  • Perform issue identification, communication, and resolution for moderately complex issues.
  • Assist with software release and version testing.
  • Ability to provide end-user training as needed.

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience (Business, finance, accounting, clinical).
  • Experience with clinical software, insurance billing, Medicaid/Medicare and EDI required.
  • Experience with financial/accounting/billing applications and / or accounting practices a plus.
  • Functional consulting experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with healthcare software implementations.
  • Experience with software as a service (hosted) preferred.
  • Previous experience with ERP or EHR software required.
  • SQL server knowledge a plus.
  • Professional, effective communication and presentation skills required.
  • Required travel: 40%
