Defran Systems' Family of Clients

Beacon Light implements Evolv-CS® enterprise-wide software system to automate its wide range of programs

New York, NY – Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems of Bradford, PA has chosen New York based Defran Systems’ state of the art Evolv-CS software system to automate its broad array of Human Services programs.

Founded in the early 1900's to provide care to children abandoned or orphaned by the early oil and lumber industries, Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems has evolved into a private, not-for-profit, social service agency providing quality professional, education and behavioral health services to young people. Its programs include Emergency Shelter Placement, Forensic Mental Health Services, Residential Treatment (RTF), Alternative Education, Community Based Wraparound, Outpatient Services, Day Treatment, and long-term residential services for individuals with mental retardation and/or developmental disability.

Beacon Light began its search for a clinical management system by inviting more than 30 vendors to respond to their Request for Proposal (RFP). As Beacon Light moved forward with the evaluation process, the agency narrowed its selection down to two software vendors, one of which was Defran. After a final critical evaluation, Evolv-CS became the system of choice

Becky Jensen, Vice President of Program Evaluation for Beacon Light who worked closely with Defran’s analysts during the selection process concluded that the Evolv-CS comprehensive feature set was most suited to its organization and able to meet all of its complex program needs. Specific reasons for choosing Evolv-CS were its ability to allow Beacon Light to streamline business process management and document best practices along with its capacity for customization by agency and its easy to navigate interface.

In addition, the system’s comprehensive and flexible financial and billing component will allow Beacon Light to achieve a significant return on its investment by decreasing denied claims, reducing billing redundancies and improving the efficiency of data collection.
